AmeriCorps: is a network of national service programs, made up of three primary programs that each have a different process to improving lives and fostering civic engagement. 
FEMA Corps: is aimed for any student that is interested in the emergency management industry. As a member of FEMA Corps you will be part of a team and serve communities impacted by disaster while gaining professional development. Members will the opportunity to work and deploy with their assigned teams for 10 months to any location they are needed. As a FEMA Corps member you will become a deployable asset and gain first hand knowledge about emergency management.

Image result for The Arizona Emergency Services Association  Since 2011, the ASFPM Foundation has sponsored a student paper competition open to any full-time, college student enrolled in a floodplain management related field. Three finalists are invited to present their papers at ASFPM's annual national conference, which will be held in Cleveland, OH on May 19-23, 2019. The goals of this program are to encourage student engagement in floodplain management topics and to identify talented individuals with the potential to make lasting contributions to the floodplain management body of knowledge.
